The pandemic has affected us all, and Storm Horse Tattoo as well.
We are continuously updating our protocols and uphold high health standards to keep the studio clean, and our clientele and staff safe.
But what exactly do we mean by that?
Below is a detailed list of many of the specific health and safety changes we’ve made to the studio:
covid STATUS: effective June 2024
Due to the transmissibility of Covid and other respiratory illnesses, we are recommending all clients to wear masks while in the studio. We are in close proximity to our clients for a long period of time during tattoo sessions, and this puts us at increased risk. Enacting this precaution enables safety for our staff and clientele. This policy will be maintained for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation in this matter!
All Tattoo Artists will wear N95 masks during the tattoo procedure. We would appreciate it if our clients wore a mask during their tattoo session as well! New masks are available for client use - just ask and we’ll be happy to provide it.
We maintain the right to reschedule any appointments if you are presenting any symptoms of illness.
Vaccine Status: All our staff are 100% 2-4 x vaccinated.
Protocols
Clients are recommended to wear a mask while in the studio.
Our ventilation system has an air filter that captures viruses. The HVAC system activates approximately 2-3 times per hour keeping our air refreshed and well filtered.
Contactless consultations reduce unnecessary visits to the studio and still remain our go-to method for consultations. This way, no matter where you are, we can get your tattoo ideas rolling via emails, phone calls, or zoom. In person consultations are at the determination of the Tattoo Artist.
We are permitting one guest per client at this time. Guests should asses their own personal health and wellness before entering and refrain from attending the appointment if they are ill/presenting any symptoms (coughing, sneezing, fever, etc.) and it is recommended that they wear an N95 mask while in the studio. Otherwise, please arrive alone to your tattoo appointment.
All clients should assess their health and wellness before coming in for their appointment. If clients are presenting any symptoms, we request they notify us as soon as possible to reschedule their appointment. There is no penalty for rescheduling due to illness. Refraining from showing up at the studio while sick is a critical step in infection prevention control and we appreciate your transparency and cooperation in this matter.
Upon entry, we request that all clients sanitize their hands before proceeding.
Please remember to use of proper etiquette regarding hand washing, cough-covering , etc.
Flash books have returned to the waiting area! In addition, our pre-drawn designs can be selected beforehand online. Check out our Instagram highlights to see what we have available.
Clients must consume their food in the waiting area of the studio.
All staff have been trained in accordance with WHO (World Health Organization) standards of Hand Hygiene, Proper PPE use, Cross-Contamination Prevention Protocols, and have completed their Blood-borne Pathogen course (certificates at our stations).
All items (tables, chairs, etc.) touched by clients are sanitized after each appointment.
All tattoo stations are sprayed with a broad-spectrum virucidal spray, and sanitized between every client.
Providing new disposable sterilized needles, tubes, inks and a clean set up for every client as per our usual array of Cross-Contamination Prevention in accordance with Toronto Public Health Regulations. Our commitment to this is shown by our successful Body Pass in the front window from completing our annual Health Inspection. We have always practiced these protocols, and value the cleanliness, health, and safety of everyone here at Storm Horse Tattoo.
We hope this sheds some light on the work we’re doing at the studio. Thank you for taking the time to read! Looking forward to seeing you in 2024!
